1. You've just arrived in a Spanish resort and need some local information:
• Whether there's a supermarket nearby
• If there's a swimming pool
• Where the tourist office is
2. You go to the local shop to buy:
• Suitable quantities of milk, bread, fruit, wine for a family
• Postcards and stamps
• Suntan lotion

 Make up another conversation expressing wants and needs, shopping and eating out. Then write another conversation offering people something to eat and drink.

Translate the following into Spanish.

1. (Could you) give me a hundred grams of ham.
2. Do you have any oranges?
3. How much is everything?

En Bogotá, Colombia, los bancos están abiertos da Lunes a Viernes, entre las 9.00 de la mañana y las 5.00 d e la tarde. Los sábados están cerrados. La oficina Central de correos, que está en el edificio Avianca en la Carrera Séptima, se abre a las 7.00 de la mañana y se cierra a las 10.00 de la noche. Los domingos y días festivos se abre a las 8.00 y se cierra a las 7.00 de la tarde. El horario de las tiendas en Bogotá es de 9.30 a 19.30.

Preguntas:
a. ¿Qué días abren los bancos en Bogotá?
b. ¿A qué hora abren?
c. ¿A qué hora cierran?
d. ¿Cual es el horario de la Oficina Central de Correos?

Prepare a dialog about your family. Write a dialog using the vocabulary from handouts lessons 1-4.

jueves y viernes:

Prepare a conversation using what you know about greeting each other, making introductions, taking leave of one another, telling nationalities, discussing your family, describing people, telling what time it is and at what time you do a certain activity, what the weather is like, people’s ages, etc.

Practice the numbers from 0 - 100. Draw a grid 4x3 and fill with random numbers between 1 and 100.

miércoles y jueves:
Prepare two more questions, using the material learned in today’s lesson to ask your classmates next class. Write a dialog using the vocabulary from handouts 1-3.

viernes y lunes:
¿Qué hora es? Answer the question in complete sentences. Use a – j on p. 24 of your handout. You should end up with 10 sentences.
